Staff Changes at Belvedere

Dear Belvedere Families:

It’s hard to believe the end of January is here and we are about to begin the third quarter of the school year!  As we enter the second half of the school year, we have some staff changes to share with you.

Rebecca Foley, our SBTS (school-based technology specialist), has accepted and begun a new position with the Instructional Technology Department. We are sad to see her go and excited for her new opportunity with FCPS.  Sanya Chopra, fifth grade teacher, will be replacing Ms. Foley as Belvedere’s new SBTS. Ms. Chopra’s passion for technology and strong understanding of the Primary Years Program will allow her to support students and staff with technology integration.

Rosalyn Crews will take over Ms. Chopra’s fifth-grade class. Her background as a music and general education teacher will support the continuity of a strong instructional program.

We also have a staff change in the preschool autism program.  Amanda Jelinek, who has led the preschool autism class this year, will be moving, and in her place, we welcome Kelsey Padarath. Ms. Padarath has experience with early childhood, and is excited to join the Belvedere preschool team.

Please join us in welcoming our new Belvedere staff members!

Best regards,

Cecilia Vanderhye, Principal

Justice High School Chorus Concert

Justice High School's popular Broadway Desserts show will be on Saturday, February 1 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.  This year's family-friendly show is entitled "Broadway Tonight" and will feature favorites from all kinds of wonderful Broadway musicals!  Special guests from Glasgow Middle School chorus will join us for both shows.

During the intermission, guests are invited to enjoy an assortment of "fancy" desserts as well as coffee and tea.

Suggested donation for entry: $15 for adults and $10 for teachers, seniors and students.  Additional details can be found in the flyer on the PTA website.
