Progress Reports
2nd quarter Progress Reports will be sent home with the students on Wednesday, February 5th.
Living with ADHD Support Group
Mrs. Mason and Mrs. Berry are offering support to families through on-going monthly meetings to address the challenges of life with ADHD. The next meeting for the 2019 – 2020 school year is currently scheduled for Monday, February 24th at 7:00. Additional meetings will be March 16th, April 20th, May 18th and June – the 8th. The meetings will take place in the school library from 7:00 – 8:30pm. We will focus on skills and tools to help with executive function including Impulse control, attention and initiating tasks. Farifax County's Elementary Institute for the Arts
Do you have a child interested in the Arts? Don’t miss out on registering for Fairfax County’s Elementary Institute for the Arts starting February 3rd! Students explore Art, Dance, Music, and Theatre through this weekly program that runs from July 6-31st. The Hunt Valley PTA is excited to announce the following after school programs for the Winter 2020 session: REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR ALL PROGRAMS
Mondays – STEM exCEL
Tuesdays – Mudskippers Pottery
Wednesdays – Nova Kids in Motion
Thursdays – Young Rembrandts
Fridays – Silver Knights Chess
Registration information can be viewed in more detail on our PROGRAMS page. We are also looking for parent volunteers to watch the students during after school classes, specifically from 4:00 to 4:30 pm. In exchange, your program compensated will be compensated.
OPEN Registration for GLOBAL Plus Spanish Classes at HVES Registration for GLOBAL Plus after school Spanish classes for grades K-6 is open. You may have seen the flyers being sent home with your child. Classes will begin Tuesday, February 4 for an 8-week session. Cost is $173. A 10% sibling discount is available upon request (Call 703-658-1201). GLOBAL Plus classes aim to provide students with the foundation and edge in language learning in an increasingly diverse and interconnected world.
