Lockdown Drill
We’ve rescheduled our lockdown drill to Thursday, January 30, 2020.
Arrival Procedures
Now that we no longer need to route students through the cafeteria in the morning, we will return to admitting students into the building at 8:40 AM. If you plan to drop your child off in the morning or have them walk to school, please plan for students to arrive no earlier than 8:40 AM unless they are serving in as a patrol or on WBZZ. The official start time for the student day is 8:50 AM. Starts are considered tardy if they arrive after 8:55 AM.
School Closed
Just a reminder that schools will be closed on Monday, January 27 and Tuesday, January 28 for staff work days.

Spirit Days at Glory Days Grill
When you dine at any Glory Days Grill from now until Friday, January 24, Glory Days will contribute 10% of the total food and beverage purchase to the Clearview PTA. Simply ask your server for the itemized copy of your guest check (not the charge card receipt) and drop it in the collection box at the Reston restaurant or at the school.
Silent Auction Committee Members Wanted
Calling all Parents! The PTA is looking for volunteers to assist with the setup of our Annual Silent Auction. There are many different ways you can help that can be done anywhere! This is our LARGEST fundraiser of the year and we have even bigger goals for the 2020 year! Please email arpitaptl@gmail.com if you wish to dedicate a small portion of your time towards this great cause. Go Yellow Jackets!
Special Education PTA Committee
The Special Education PTA, or SEPTA committee, supports all Clearview families, but most especially, provides a safe space for Special Education parents and families to find support. If you have any questions, or are interested in helping create and sustain future programs, please contact Valerie Catullo at vcatullo@fcps.edu.

Order Clearview swag on our website at https://clearviewpta.ptboard.com. Just go to the website and click on ‘Form & Payment’ to find the ordering information for our fun Clearview black and yellow striped socks (adult and children’s sizes), car magnets, hair bows, spirit bands and pencils. All orders will be able to be picked up in the Clearview front office after the PTA confirms your order. Thank you!
PTA Membership
It isn’t too late to join the PTA! This year your membership includes exclusive discounts at Elden Street Tea, Weird Brothers Coffee, the Washington Nationals, George Washington’s Mount Vernon, Ben & Jerry’s Reston and Mahalo Media Solutions. Anyone can join…parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and community members. Membership is $15 for a family, $10 for a single membership and $5 for Clearview staff.
