Dear Friends,
I am thrilled to be your Springfield District representative on the Fairfax County School Board. I have been a resident of Fairfax County for nearly 20 years, and have two children currently attending FCPS schools. Having been a preschool teacher, long-term substitute for FCPS, PTA president, and parent, I have had the opportunity to experience many sides of our school system. I look forward to using this experience to strengthen FCPS, and am eager to engage with the Springfield community!
I will be hosting a PTA coffee at the West Springfield Government Center on February 4th at 10:00 a.m. This meeting is intended to hear from PTA members about the schools they serve, but all are welcome to attend and participate!
Please join me for my upcoming March 11th office hours. Please note there is a morning and evening session and they are at different locations. Come discuss any topic related to FCPS. No appointment is necessary to attend. Those in attendance will be seen in the order of arrival.
In the month of January, I have had the opportunity to visit 10 schools. Thank you to the principals and staff of the following schools for showing me the many amazing things that are happening in our buildings. I look forward to visiting many more schools over the next few months.
