Principal's Message

Dear Hughes Parents, Guardians, and Students

With a few stop and starts this week, we have gotten back into the routine of classes at Langston Hughes Middle School.  The students have two weeks of the second quarter left to complete assignments and take assessments. There will be an end of quarter “Winter Ball” later this month for an opportunity to hang out with friends.  It will be a dance on January 23, from 2:30 to 4:30.  The $5 entrance price will get students a piece of pizza, chips and juice.  We look forward to enjoying each other’s company and celebrating our hard work thus far this year.

Sincerely,

Aimée Monticchio

Principal

Students will also be bringing home an academic advising letter with teacher recommendations and high school course selection sheets. High school counselors will also be visiting in January to support students in the course selection process.

While this event is primarily for parents, students are welcome to attend.
