Advanced Academics Important Deadline
Level IV Referral Packets for FCPS students in grades 2-7 are due to the local school January 9, 2020 by 4:00 PM. The benchmark for the 2nd grade pool is 132 on the NNAT or 132 on the CogAt Composite Score or any subscore of the CogAt. The pool only applies to 2nd graders. If your child is in grades 3-6 and you are interested in having him/her screened for Level IV services, a referral must be submitted.
Screening Items Provided by Parent/Guardian:
- Advanced Academic Programs Level IV Referral Form (required unless the student is part of the 2nd grade pool for automatic screening)
- Student Work Samples (optional - no more than 4) - single-sided, 8 ½ by 11 only
- (Please do not submit the work samples electronically. Please submit paper copies to Poplar Tree ES.)
- Parent/Guardian Questionnaire (optional)
- Student Awards or Commendations - no more than 5 (optional) single-sided, 8 ½ by 11 only
- Private Ability Test Scores (optional) - Provided by GMU or state-licensed psychologist. If tests by a private psychologist are submitted, they must be accompanied by a copy of the psychologist’s license.
