Greetings from Cherith Pierson, New Churchill Road Principal

Happy December 2nd!

Trusting you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends.  My niece kept me joyfully busy playing with the “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood” characters.

Last week was very exciting!  What a privilege to be the next principal of Churchill Road Elementary School.  Some of my greatest joys over the years have been working with elementary school students, teachers, and parents.  The reason I became a reading specialist was to assist students in the area of literacy from the earliest age possible; this is one of the many areas I am looking forward to supporting.  I am grateful for Mr. Hutzel’s leadership of Churchill Road; he has created a positive, collaborative culture in which everyone is focused on doing what is best for students.

Although I am still the assistant principal at Cooper Middle School, you will see me at Churchill Road throughout December, meeting students, families, and school staff. January 2, 2020 will be my first day as principal.

I look forward to getting to know all of you and hearing from you of ways we can best support your children.

Sincerely,

Cherith Pierson
