Bren Mar Park is excited to host its first annual Cultural Literacy Night on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. (this was an error on the flier that went home yesterday evening). For this event, we are seeking family and community members to read and/or tell a traditional cultural bedtime story in a variety of Bren Mar Park languages! We will be welcoming students and their families to come to school in pajamas on this evening and select to listen to a variety of bedtime stories presented in a variety of languages. Children and their families are welcome to come in pajamas and to bring a favorite blanket or stuffed animal to help enjoy the evening!
Elementary Institute for the Arts enrichment program (E-IFTA) offers to Fairfax County elementary school students opportunities to engage in Art, Dance, Music, and Theatre classes daily during the month of July. This year’s program will be July 6-31 and there are four, one-week sessions. Each session is different from the others. Students who love to sing, dance, act, perform, make and create thrive during this summer experience! For more information please see the most recent newsletter that focused on the E-IFTA program.
The front office hours change for Winter Break. On December 23, 26, 27, 30 and January 2-3, the front office will be open from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The front office will be closed on December 24, 25 & 31 and January 1st.
Looking for a way to help the Bren Mar Park school community? Consider being more actively involved in the Parent Teacher Association (PTA).
