Stenwood Hive Happenings

Thanksgiving Break November 27th - November 29th

Hive Happenings Newsletter

Dear Stenwood Families,

We loved seeing so many of you (and grandparents too!) at the Thanksgiving lunch.  As we reflect on our second week of gratitude in the Positivity Project, we as a Stenwood community have so much to be thankful for!  We have an extremely dedicated staff who work to support each and every student every day.  We have an amazing PTA that plan wonderful events for our community!  And, we are thankful for each and every one of you for making Stenwood such an awesome place to teach and learn!

Good news!  The attendance and transportation emails are back up and running!  Thank you for your patience yesterday.

We hope you have a wonderful time with your family and friends!

Sincerely,
Erica Riley, Principal
Meredith Mitchell, Assistant Principal

Positivity Project: Kindness

Next week we are focusing on Kindness. You are generous to others and you are never too busy to help out. You enjoy doing good deeds for other people.

“There is nothing so rewarding as to make people realize that they are worthwhile in this world.”  ~Bob Anderson

Questions you might enjoy talking about:
• How can you bring more kindness to our school?
• How is kindness related to other character strengths?
• Why is kindness such an important character strength?

Book Fair

Mrs. Cole would like to thank everyone who purchased items from the Fall Book Fair.  A percentage of all sales goes right back to the library which she uses to purchase new books for the students.  Mrs. Cole would also like to thank everyone who volunteered – whether it was for a single two-hour shift or multiple times during the week – our fair could never be successful without our volunteers.

Mark your calendars now, the Spring Book Fair will be March 27th -April 2nd.  We hope to see you there!
