Are you interested in becoming a substitute teacher for Fairfax County Public Schools? Wakefield Forest ES and Fairfax County Public Schools are experiencing almost daily substitute vacancies due to the local and national substitute shortage.
As a substitute, you can specify which schools you would like to work at, and what sort of substitute teaching jobs you are interested in.
Qualifications for substitute teaching are as follows:
For Teacher jobs, at least 60 hours of undergraduate coursework
For Instructional Assistant jobs, high school degree
Additionally, two letters of recommendation are required.
The application is online. New substitutes must attend a one-time substitute orientation at the FCPS Gatehouse Administration building.
