FCPSOn Support Fee
You have probably received an invoice for an FCPSOn Support fee of $50 that has been added to your account. This may have come through your child's MySchoolbucks account or by email this week. A parent letter was sent out in May and August about the fee that would be generated in November.
To ensure I am relaying the message correctly, I have included the FCPS link about the fee so you are aware of the details surrounding the fee. Please click on the link below and read it carefully. It gives you information on what the fee is and how you can possibly qualify for not paying the entire fee or a reduced amount. Please note this fee will be assessed at the end of the first quarter every year going forward.

The only way to avoid the fee:
Free lunch - if your child qualifies for free lunch and you are willing to share their status, the fee is WAIVED.
Reduced lunch - pay $25 if your child qualifies for reduced lunch.
Opt-out - If you choose for your child to opt-out, you will need to complete & return the opt-out form, schedule a meeting (student & parent/guardian) with me about the implications of opting out and turn in your child's laptop. However, I would not suggest this option as it can/will affect access to assignments on the computer. The student will not be assigned to use a computer or Mifi device if they opt-out. Note, if the student chooses to use their own device and it breaks, gets a virus or will not power up, we cannot assign an FCPS device nor will our technical support team be able to fix or diagnosis the issue. Opt-out forms are included in the link provided above.
Otherwise:
You can make payments until the fee is paid off or choose to make a one-time payment in full. (Sample payment plan: If you begin to pay this month, it will be $7.15 for 7 months if you owe $50; $3.57 for 7 months if you owe $25.)
Final due date for the fee is May 20, 2020. After that, "financial obligations" will be assessed.
Fees are to be collected by Ms. Kidd (located in the main office). If you have a MySchoolBucks account, you can pay online with a credit or debit card. Otherwise they can pay at school with cash, check or money order.

Robert E. Lee High School Band Tiny Tots Performance
Join the Robert E. Lee High School Band for their annual Tiny Tots concert featuring favorite characters and seasonal selections. Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 10:00am and 7:00pm and Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 10:00am. Reservations are required for the morning performances. $2 admission per person. Robert E.
