 This week, HES joined our nation on Veteran's Day in gratitude and recognition of those who served our country. We encourage you to take a look at our Veteran's Wall in the main hallway on the way to Thanksgiving lunch this Thursday. On the left side of this photo are 3 of our staff members: 4th gr. teacher Charles Anderson, SPED teacher Shamika Stewart, and principal Teresa Fennessy.
lAdvanced Academics Parent Information Meeting
A parent information meeting will be held this Tuesday, November 19th from 5:30-6:30pm in the teachers lounge to provide information about Level IV screening for your child in grades 2-6. Please attend if you are interested in learning more about the full-time advanced academics identification process.

Fall Book Fair November 18-22
One of the best parts of cold weather is curling up with a good book! Share some quality time with your kid and their favorites at our Fall Book Fair!
The Arctic Adventure will open to explorers in our library next Monday, but you can shop or browse online at the Scholastic store now. Students and Parents can also shop the Fair together during the PTA Meeting on Tuesday, Nov 19 from 5-8pm and during Thanksgiving Lunch on Thursday, November 21. We need a lot of volunteers to make this happen for our kids! Please consider donating an hour or two of your time by signing up HERE. General PTA Meeting
Our next general PTA meeting will be held the same week as Family Book Fair Night so you can stop by both. Come join us next Tuesday, November 19 at 6:30 pm to keep up with news and events in our school. Everyone is welcome but only 2019-20 members can vote.
