Hello Parents,
We’re so excited to announce that our school is participating in the Apex Leadership Co program as our only major fundraiser of the Fall semester! The Apex program will last for 2 weeks and kicks off with a Pep Rally on Monday, November 11th at 2:30PM. Please look for your child's Apex Pledge Kit they will bring home and for e-mails coming from your teachers on that day to learn more about helping our school through the Fun Run. What is the Apex Leadership Co program? Apex is a 2 week interactive leadership program combined with a Fun Run fundraiser that helps schools raise funds, while promoting leadership, good character and fitness. Apex’s GAME ON leadership theme takes students on an exciting journey as they learn what it takes to be a game changing leader!
How does the Apex program work?
• With parents help, students are challenged to get pledges for the laps they will complete at our Fun Run on November 21st
.
• All pledges and payments are made online* at www.MyApexEvent.com.
• Sponsors can pledge a $ amount per lap or any flat donation amount for students.
• Students will average 30-36laps. The maximum laps counted is 36 and each lap is 1/16th of a mile.
We are raising funds for our Eagles!

We kicked off our year this year holding parent many conferences to do, and goal setting for your students. If you have not held this conference or have not been in touch with the teacher please reach out to them! As always we know that engaging your child requires collaboration and partnership with parents. Also if needed we can provide any translation services necessary to hold a conference or facilitate a conversation.
Students & Staff would like to invite Parents, Friends, & Relatives to join them for a Traditional Thanksgiving Luncheon on Thursday, November 21, 2019.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR! Below are dates for our dress rehearsals and winter concerts. In preparation for our concert your child may have orchestra more than once that week. Please make sure your child has their instrument and music for each day. These events are mandatory!
5th and 6thgrade Orchestra
Thursday December 5th at 10-11 am in orchestra classroom
Friday December 13th at 9-10 am in orchestra classroom
Evening Concert: Thursday December 19th at 7pm at Forest Edge Gym. *Orchestra students will report to the orchestra room at 6:30pm
School Assembly Friday December 20th 9:30am at Forest Edge gym. *Students will go to the cafeteria at 8:50am to prepare.
