From the Principal's Desk:
After school today, one of our staff members noticed a slight odor of natural gas in the gymnasium. Although the smell dissipated, we closed the gym and relocated those students in the after school program to the cafeteria. Washington Gas was called and the gas was turned off until FCPS contractors could come and tighten the valve. No gas was detected in the building by either Washington Gas or our own Facilities personnel. As a precaution, we cancelled evening activities that were to take place in the gymnasium. School will be open at its regular time tomorrow.
