Our Winter Coat and Supply Drive has begun! Make a donation of a new or gently used winter coat and toiletry items for needy families in our Eagle View community during the month of November. The first opportunity to donate is Monday, November 11 at either the Turkey Luncheon or Eagle View Book Fair. No time to shop for a donation? No problem! Students will have a chance to preview books and make a wish list for their families November 6 through 8. Books make fantastic holiday gifts!
The book fair will be open for parents only during our Thanksgiving Lunch on November 11 to buy books. Students will not be permitted to leave their classrooms or the cafeteria to go to the book fair on this date. Students will have an opportunity to visit the book fair during their scheduled library time.
Eagle View is looking for a part-time Cafeteria Host/Hostess to work 3 days/week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) 10:30AM to 1:00PM during days when school is in session. The person in this position will be working with our full-time Cafeteria Hostess.
The primary roles of the Cafeteria Host/Hostess include supervising students in the cafeteria, enforcing cafeteria expectations, helping students as necessary, and assisting with the clearing and cleaning of tables. Prior to hiring, the candidate will need to undergo a background check.

Please join us on Monday, November 11, 2019 for our Thanksgiving Luncheon. You are also invited to join your child in their classroom for 30 minutes before lunch begins for a class visit. Not only will you be able to spend time with your child in their class, your child will get the opportunity to escort their “Thanksgiving Luncheon” guest(s) to the cafeteria.
The lunch schedule has been adjusted for this day to accommodate all of our visitors and was sent home in Wednesday folders on October 23. Please fill out the bottom of the lunch schedule letter and return to your child’s teacher. Do not send in money for lunch at this time. You will purchase a lunch ticket on the day of the luncheon. We ask that you arrive approximately 15 minutes before your classroom visit or lunch time to purchase your ticket.
The lunch price for all guests is $4.50. No Eagle View student lunches may be purchased in the guest ticket line. Eagle View students may purchase lunch in the regular lunch line along with their class. We can accept cash (small bills) and checks made out to Eagle View Elementary only.

Topic: Full Time Level IV Spring Screening Process
Level IV - Full-Time Advanced Academic Placement
Students found eligible for placement in full-time Advanced Academic Programs Level IV through a central selection process receive a challenging instructional program in the four core subject areas. Screening for this level of service occurs in the fall for students who are new to FCPS and in the spring for all other students. The referral deadline for level IV services is January 9, 2020 for the 2020-2021 academic school year. Additional information regarding the level IV screening process can be found on the Advanced Academic Programs website. Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) provides a comprehensive, sequential Family Life Education (FLE) program for students in grades kindergarten through grade twelve. Instruction is seen as a partnership among parents and guardians, the school, and the community in supporting the learning essential to the development of strong families, positive relationships, and a healthy community.
Parents/guardians may choose to opt their child out of all or part of the Family Life Education program. Students who are opted out are provided with age-appropriate, nonpunitive alternative health instruction, and every effort is made to foster respect for family choices.
