It is hard to believe that the first quarter has already come to a close. We hope you were able to have a productive and informative conference with your child’s teacher. Report cards will be sent home in this week's Wednesday Folder.
We hope you have the opportunity to attend our Veterans Day program at 9:00am on our blacktop on Monday, November 11, 2019. This event will prove to be full of music and respectful tributes. Light refreshments will be served from 8:45-9:30am for parents and vets.
We also hope that you take the opportunity to enjoy our annual Thanksgiving Luncheon with your children that day as well.
Thank you for all you continue to do to support our students!

Join your student’s class for Fort Hunt’s annual Thanksgiving luncheon.
In order to make this event a success, we need several helpers!
Please go to the following sign up to volunteer for a task! There are plenty of options with different times so you will be able to eat with your student AND volunteer!
Fort Hunt is excited to honor veterans on Monday, November 11th.
Please remember to wear red, white, and blue.
Come join us in celebrating our veterans at 9:05a on the blacktop. Light refreshments will be available to our FHES veterans and parents at 8:45 am.
Thank you for being here as we honor those who served and are currently serving!

Make Up Day is for:
- Students that were absent on picture day.
- Students new to FHES since picture day (9/20/19).
- Students that ordered a package and would like a re-take* (Students having their photo retaken need to bring the full contents of the original package to the photographer).
My name is Bridget Tunstall, and I’m the drama teacher at Sandburg Middle School. I would like to invite your faculty, staff, students, and families to join us to our production of Junie B Jones Is Not a Crook by Allison Gregory. Based on the beloved children’s chapter books by Barbara Park, this family friendly show features several students on cast and crew from our local elementary schools.
Join Junie B. (Kennedi Johnson, understudy Jadelyn Bethel) as she tries to solve the mystery of who stole her fuzzy black mittens, navigates friendships, maybe finds a Kindergarten crush, and learns just how special she is as an individual.
All tickets are $5 and shows run 11/15 at 7pm, 11/16 at 1pm and 7pm, and 11/17 at 2pm. Buy your tickets online or at the door before the shows.
Thank you sixth graders for sharing your solar system knowledge with the fourth graders. It was a great experience for both fourth and sixth grade.
