Dear Rocky Run Families:
I am looking forward to traveling with and chaperoning our Warriner School exchange trip to England with students and staff from November 1-9, 2019. During my absence, Mr. Tom DeRusso (AP) will serve as the administrator in charge and Mrs. Pam Galietta (SBTS) will earn administrative intern hours supporting the administrative team. Please feel free to reach out to them or Mrs. Young Houng (DSS) with any questions you may have.
We have had a RAMtastic week at Rocky Run MS. A few highlights:
- We have had a highly successful first quarter of the school year! Congratulations students and teachers on your hard work.
- Our students showed their spirit by dressing up each day for our Spooky Spirit Week. It was a fun way to end the quarter.
- Students of the Month for each team were recognized in lunches. You can see their names and pictures below. Congratulations on the ways you Raise the Ram every day.
- Our Warriner Exchange program is off to England today, including me. We look forward to sharing our learning with the RRMS school community.
- Congratulations to the Washington Nationals on their World Series win.

Positivity Project (10/28-11/1): Perspective
WHAT DOES PERSPECTIVE MEAN?
You appreciate when people see things in different ways. You have the ability to understand the world from multiple points of view. Perspective is also referred to as wisdom and is distinct from intelligence. People with this strength are sought out for advice because they see the big picture and can make sense of the world’s complexity. This strength of perspective gives individuals the ability to see to the heart of difficult matters and achieve clarity. Most importantly, they are honest and behave in an ethically consistent manner.
What is your perspective like? Watch this video to test your ability to see the whole picture.
First Quarter Student Progress
Today is the last day of first quarter and the report cards will be mailed home on Tuesday, November 5. Parents can receive Weekly Progress Reports via email through SIS Parent VUE. Please note that SIS Weekly Progress reports will NOT be sent during the First Quarter Grading period which is from Wed. Oct 30 to Fri. Nov 8. Additionally, your student’s teacher is always the best resource to answer any grade-related questions that you may have.
