Student-Parent Survey for Federal Impact AID

Beginning on October 22, FCPS will be asking all families to fill out a Student-Parent Survey for Federal Impact Aid. Returning this form is important because information from this survey results in an anticipated $3 million dollars in grant funds each year from the U.S. Department of Education. These funds are used to support all Fairfax County public schools and centers. For each school-aged child in your household, please complete, sign, date, and return the survey to your child's school. If sections 1 and 2 of the survey do not apply to you, just check the box in Section 3.  All forms must be signed, dated, and returned by October 30. All results are CONFIDENTIAL.

2020 Virginia Summer Residential Governor’s School

The Virginia Summer Governor’s School is a challenging and enriching program designed for highly motivated students who are looking for a challenging summer experience.  Programs are offered in Visual and Performing Arts, Humanities, Math/Science/Tech, Agriculture, Life Science/Medicine, and Mentorships in Engineering and Life Sciences.  The selection process is extremely competitive.  For the Academics and Mentorship Programs, most students selected rank in the top 10% of their class and have scored in the 90th percentile on standardized measures of ability or achievement tests.  These residential programs run from late June to late July.  Only sophomores and juniors who are available during that time frame and whose records match these criteria should apply.

The deadline to declare your interest for the 2020 Summer Residential Governor’s School is November 5, 2020. (no late submissions will be accepted)
