Saratoga Celebrates Digital Citizenship Week Oct. 21 – 25
We are looking forward to celebrating Digital Citizenship Week from October 21-Ocotber 25. This year’s theme is Media Balance and Well-Being: Developing a Healthy Relationship with Your Technology.
We will be recognizing Digital Citizenship with Spirit Days throughout the week. The spirit days are:
Put on your thinking cap and reflect on your media use and habits.
- Tuesday, Oct. 22: Pink Day
Bring awareness to important issues by using and creating digital media.
- Wednesday, Oct. 23: Active-Wear
Exercise healthy tech habits.
-
Thursday, Oct. 24: Dress in Your Best
Wear your best or most professional clothing and focus on using high-quality media.
- Friday, Oct. 25: “Lei” Off the Tech
Wear Hawaiian or comfortable clothing and take a break from screens to connect more in person.
In addition, the DigCit team has planned wonderful activities for students to participate in daily to promote critical thinking and to use technology responsibly to learn, create, and participate.
We will close out the week with a share for families on Friday, Oct. 25 at 8:15 AM. We invite families to join us for a light breakfast and sharing of student artifacts/reflections from the week. We will also be sharing resources that you can use to promote Digital Citizenship at home.
