Dear Panther Families,
Welcome to the beginning of November. We had another great week at Poplar Tree. It was wonderful to see so many dressed in pink on Monday to show support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in all of the colors on Friday for the SCA Spirit Day. Our K-3rd grade classes enjoyed the author visit on Wednesday and our Kindergarten students were so excited for their annual parade on Thursday.
Today is the end of the 1st quarter. We appreciate everyone who has already met with teachers for conferences and look forward to seeing many of you soon as conferences continue.
Please remember that there is no school on Monday or Tuesday as teachers continue conferences and have time for planning and collaboration. Don't forget that Tuesday is also Election Day.
Our Veterans Day Assembly is next Friday, and we ask that everyone wear Red, White and Blue to show our support to our veterans.
Have a great weekend and we hope you can enjoy the extra hour of sleep as time falls back one hour this weekend.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Ms. Andujar and Ms. Walker

Homework Free Breaks
We wanted to share that the Chantilly Pyramid principals have agreed to have “homework free breaks” during major FCPS student holidays, including here at Poplar Tree.
Teachers are asked to not assign homework over Thanksgiving, Winter Break, and Spring Break and not have any projects due or any assessments on the first two days after the holiday.
Everyone has worked hard and needs some time to relax and rejuvenate.
