Dr. Cottle's Reading Corner

Please join us on Wednesday, October 16th at 5:30pm, as we dedicate our new Buddy Bench and Little Library in honor of Dr. Dan Cottle, a passionate HWES educator who will be remembered for his love for education, passion for literature and offering experiences that fostered deep roots for lifelong learning.

Families, students, and teachers are invited to share a memory and join us for refreshments. The event will take place on the HWES track (to the left of the front of the school, down the hill).

We thank you in advance for your help in spreading the word to former HWES families.

career

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2019
9:15 am to 3:15 pm

We are seeking volunteers from ALL career fields to share their knowledge and career experiences with students in grades K to 6 during our annual Career Day.  Our goal is to help students explore the variety of career possibilities the future holds for them.  We hope that students will understand the importance of doing well in school and connect what they are learning to their future career goals.  We invite parents, relatives, friends, and other community members to share whatever time they have available with us.

If you are interested in volunteering for the event, please register on the Hunters Woods Website no later than Friday, October 25, 2019.  Once you have registered, you will be contacted by one of our school counselors who will provide you with additional information and answer any questions you may have about the event.

Should you have any additional questions, please direct them to either of our school counselors, Patricia Small (pssmall@fcps.edu) or Garry Carter (glcarter@fcps.edu).
