LBSS Weekly News - 10/4/19

Regional Golf

A Message from Dr. Smith

Our Homecoming events last week were a great time to welcome back former students and parents.  From the Bite of Braddock to our victorious varsity football game we had quite an exciting ride on our Road Trip USA themed Homecoming week.  The school spirit from all of our families last week reminded me of the importance and positive impact our school has on the greater Lake Braddock community.

One recognition this week is to our golf team.  They competed in regional competition where we placed third overall.  Katie Park and Mason Jones qualified for VHSL state competitions that will take place later this month.

We have an exciting opportunity for all of our community!  We are establishing a School Planning Council at Lake Braddock.  This opportunity will allow stakeholders to come together and provide input and guidance on the future of LBSS.  If you are interested, please see the information below.

LBSS School Planning Council
We are excited to announce that LBSS is in the process of establishing a School Planning Council (SPC)! The purpose of the SPC is to bring together various stakeholders to provide input and guidance on the direction of our school. Providing an excellent education for our students is our primary goal and we recognize the important role our community plays in shaping the direction of our school. The council will meet four times during the school year (10/23, 12/11, 2/5, 4/15) from 6:00PM-7:30PM (dinner will be served at 6:00PM and the meeting will start at 6:30PM). If you are interested please complete this short survey. For more information please contact Scott Darwin (scdarwin@fcps.edu), Jennifer Bury (jabury@fcps.edu), or Ana Cingel (acingel@fcps.edu).
