National Jr. Honor Society
The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) introduction meetings for all qualified 8th grade candidates will be held on Monday, September 30th and Monday, October 7th in the Gold Cafeteria from 3:00-4:25pm (late buses available). NJHS candidates include students that had a 3.5 or higher GPA in 7th grade. Letters were sent home on Friday, 9/13. If you are new to Robinson and you qualify, bring a copy of your transcripts or final report card to Mr. Burns in A110. Candidates MUST attend ONE of the two introduction meetings, where we will discuss the rest of the requirements to become an NJHS inductee, sign up to Google Classroom and x2VOL accounts, and receive dates and information about future meetings. Attending ONE of these meetings is mandatory and the first step in becoming a future inductee to the Robinson chapter of National Junior Honor Society.
Eighth grade students who received a National Junior Honor Society letter in the mail and are interested in becoming an NJHS candidate should come to ONE of the two introduction meetings. No backpacks please.
R.O.A.R. Running Club
Soccer
Soccer intramurals meet on Mondays and Thursdays! Cleats and shin guards are optional and should not be worn in the gym. Backpacks are allowed to be carried to the field and PE uniforms are not required. Meet Coach Reaman in the gym by 3pm.

Speech Club
Speech is an academic activity that is challenging and competitive in nature. Students work on speaking skills (vocalization, pitch, tone, speed, pacing, etc.), stance, characterization, writing skills, and much more! Students will explore and investigate different speech events – declamation, original oratory, impromptu, interpretation, monologues, and duets, and prepare pieces to perform. When students feel confident enough, they are also eligible to compete at Washington-Arlington Catholic Forensic League (WACFL) sanctioned tournaments held on Saturdays, if they elect to compete, there is an additional monetary cost.
Robinson offers an opportunity for middle school students to be a part of our team without feeling overwhelmed by the high school team members. The MS Speech Club offers students a smaller setting with just their fellow middle school peers every Monday after school in E218-A. We will have HS speech team officers stop by once a month to help middle school students work on their pieces though. Start date 9/30.
