SCHOOL NEWS:
Our Positivity Project Character Trait this coming week is "Open-Mindedness": Individuals with the character strength of open-mindedness
are more likely to make accurate decisions – and decisions
that they won’t regret. This is because they think through
all sides of a problem and actively fight “myside bias,”
which happens when people generate evidence, evaluate
evidence, and test hypotheses in a manner biased toward
their own prior opinions and attitudes.

PTA NEWS:
PTA MEETINGS: The PTA will host an Information Fair at 7:00pm as our October 7th PTA meeting. Come enjoy refreshments, make connections, and visit different tables to learn more about the events and programs that interest you!
MOVIE NIGHTS: The first movie night of the year will be TONIGHT! Join us in the cafeteria for a FREE showing of the new, live-action Aladdin. Doors open at 6pm and the movie starts at 6:30pm. Pizza and snacks are available for purchase and the popcorn is FREE!
SPIRIT NIGHTS: Glory Days PTA Fundraiser
All Locations (Closest is 9526 Old Keene Mill Rd in Burke)

When you dine at any Glory Days Grill during the month of October, they will contribute 10% of the total food and beverages purchased to the RVES PTA! Bring your friends, family and neighbors! Simply ask your server for the itemized copy of your guest check receipt (not the charge card receipt) and turn it in at the school office by November 15!
PTA AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES: Below you will find a listing of the PTA-sponsored school activities that are being offered this fall. All class offerings use online registration and are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please be aware that some classes will not run if there are insufficient students. Foster a strong foundation in language learning with curricula that address the needs of different skill levels: first-time learners to heritage speakers.
