Dear Panther Families,
It is hard to believe that it is the end of September already. We have had a fabulous first month of school. Learning routines, participating in beginning of the year assessments, practicing safety drills, meeting new friends and so much more have been happening since the first day of school.
Each year, we create a School Improvement and Innovation Plan to focus on continuous growth. This year we are focused on expanding the use of AAP resources and strategies in all classrooms, increasing the number of students scoring at pass advanced on the Reading SOL assessments and developing ways to expand our communication with parents on how to support their children. Our 2019-2020 School Improvement and Innovation Plan is now on our website. Please take a moment to view our plan on our website.

Fall Picture Day is Wednesday, October 2!
Picture Day is October 2! Picture forms went home in Friday Folders. You can send those back with your child or you can go online to mylifetouch.com and pre-order your package using Poplar Tree's picture ID which is HJ229040Q0
If your child forgets his or her picture form on picture day, you can go online until close of business on picture day to place your order. If you do not pre-order or pay by COB on Friday 10/5, you will receive an "oops" form when pictures are distributed. At that time, you will be able to submit a picture order.
Make-up day for Fall Pictures is November 13.
Field Day is October 11, 2019
(Rain date- Oct. 17)
Field day is Friday, October 11! K-3rd grade will be from 9-11 am and grades 4-6 will be from 1-3 pm. We need volunteer support to make the event run smoothly and safely. No prior experience is necessary as all students are trained for the events.
