Some High Indoor Temperatures at Chantilly HS

As you may be aware, we experienced high temperatures in some of our classrooms on the second floor yesterday, and the problem continues this morning.  Our AC system is malfunctioning due to a software issue controlled by an FCPS vendor and it is apparently impacting numerous schools in Fairfax County. Some units at CHS are working while others are not, and we have been powerless to manipulate the system via the usual technological controls.  Central office personnel are working with our vendor to rectify the problem, and we remain hopeful that our AC system will be fixed soon. We are also trying to manually override each non-cooperating unit to drive down temperatures in the building and are relocating classes as needed to cooler parts of the building. I will update the community as needed.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.
