POSITIVITY PROJECT

Lake Anne is proud to be a Positivity Project (P2) school. The Positivity Project empowers America's youth to build positive relationships and become their best selves. This is done through weekly lessons in the classroom on different character strengths. Each week, we will announce the strength for the upcoming week through the News You Choose. Next week will be an "Introduction To Other People Matter Mindset" #otherpeoplematter

YEAR AT A GLANCE

Have you ever wondered about what topics your child learn about during the 2019-2020 school year? The FCPS K-6 Year at a Glance provides a high-level understanding of what topics across Mathematics, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies will be taught throughout the year. Each grade level document is linked below for easy access.

VOLUNTEER KICK-OFF

Lake Anne is extremely grateful for all of our parent volunteers who help throughout the school year. If you are interested in volunteering this school year, please join us for our annual Volunteer Kick-Off Orientation on Friday September 13 at 9am in the cafeteria. Our LAES students and staff are always appreciative of helping hands.

KISS & RIDE

As a reminder: if you are planning to utilize the Kiss and Ride this school year, you must complete the Kiss and Ride Contract for Safety and return it to the school front office. Then a pass will be created for for your car.

If you returned the form, but did not get a pass, please stop in the front office to pick one up. In the interim, please write your child(rens) last name on a large sheet of paper and display it in the front window/dashboard of the car. Any questions, contact Sue Garrison in the front office.
