Back to School Night - Pre-K - 2nd Grade
Daniels Run Back to School Nights are a time for parents to hear from the teachers about the upcoming school year. All grades will have sessions in classrooms except 2nd grade (will start in cafeteria and move to classrooms).
Wednesday, September 4th—Grades Pre-K– 2
Video (10 min.) & Class Presentation (30 min.)
Pre K/K 6:00 - 6:40 pm
1st: 6:30-7:10 pm
2nd: 7:00 – 7:40 pm (start in cafeteria)
- Due to our limited parking, we strongly recommend that families walk and carpool to our Back to School Nights if possible.
- At the beginning of each session, there will be a short video featuring school administration, FCPS and City of Fairfax school board members.
- For parents of more than one student on the same night, times are staggered so parents may attend presentations for more than one grade level.
- If you have two DRES students, please arrive at the earlier time of your first child’s classroom to view the video. We have allowed for a 10 minute overlap with the video showing at the beginning of each session so parents of multiple children will only need to view the video once.
- The PTA will be in the front lobby to invite you to join the organization. They will be on hand to help answer questions about the exciting events and opportunities for our families this year. Hopefully you will consider being a PTA member!
- We will have Family Life Education (FLE) Materials available to be reviewed in the library
- We will have assistance in the library if families need help with their parent view account
