POSITIVITY PROJECT KICKOFF

Kickoff

Eagle View officially launched the Positivity Project with a Kickoff for students on Tuesday, September 3. Our school wide focus this month is Self-Control. Students demonstrating self-control will be rewarded with Eagle Bucks.

Eagle View ES is continuing the Positivity Project celebration with a Green Out on Friday, September 6. We would love to see all students wearing green on Friday.

EVERY DAY COUNTS! ABSENCES ADD UP

FCPS is looking forward to a great school year! Regular attendance is essential for students to form positive peer and adult relationships and to learn. In fact, when students miss significant amounts of instructional time, they tend to lose momentum academically.

We do monitor each child’s attendance daily and will contact a parent if a child does not arrive at school or class as expected. Of course, there are times that students may have health or other concerns that may prevent them from being present. Please contact your child’s school by using its attendance telephone line, email, or online form if your child will be absent. This information can be found on our school’s website https://eagleviewes.fcps.edu/.

More information about FCPS’ attendance expectations is available online.

FAMILY LIFE EDUCATION INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM INFORMATION

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) provides a comprehensive, sequential Family Life Education (FLE) program for students in grades kindergarten through grade twelve. Instruction is seen as a partnership among parents and guardians, the school, and the community in supporting the learning essential to the development of strong families, positive relationships, and a healthy community.

Parents/guardians may choose to opt their child out of all or part of the Family Life Education program. Students who are opted out are provided with age-appropriate, nonpunitive alternative health instruction, and every effort is made to foster respect for family choices. If you wish to opt your child out of all or part of FLE for this school year, opt out forms will be included in your child’s back-to-school/orientation packets and are available online for Elementary (K-6)
