Arrival and Dismissal Information
We strongly encourage everyone to ride the bus, walk or ride a bike to & from school. Traffic volume combined with narrow neighborhood streets, limited parking, and new parents unfamiliar with our drop-off and parking procedures, can create significant congestion during arrival and dismissal. If you absolutely need to drive, please allow plenty of extra time.
Bike Riders- Students who are in a designated walking area may ride their bikes to/from school. If you decide to allow your child to ride a bike, please review a safe route, ensure they wear a helmet, and know how to lock their bike on a bike rack. Our bike racks are located at the front and rear of school. Hollin Meadows is not responsible for lost or damaged bikes.
Walkers- Walkers may enter and exit only from the main entrance or entrance #4 (rear of school) of the building. Before allowing your child to walk to and from school, please establish and practice a safe walking route. If your child is assigned to a bus, do not allow him or her to walk to/from school.
