Dear Freedom Hill Community,
I am pleased to announce that Mr. Josh DeSmyter has been named the new Principal of Shrevewood Elementary! He begins his new leadership journey on Monday, August 19. Josh has been an incredible asset to Freedom Hill over the last several months and he has left a positive mark on our school. While this announcement comes on the heels of my own departure, I know that FHES will continue to thrive because of all of you and the caring culture that we have established and the high standards that we have set.
Josh and I have been collaborating with Interim Principal, Pam Morgan, to set her up for success and I know that the school year will get off to a great start with Ms. Morgan in charge. Ms. Morgan in conjunction with the Region 2 office will appoint an Interim Assistant Principal immediately to ensure the school has a smooth transition during the interim. Your patience, resilience, and optimism is appreciated during this time.
Congratulations Josh!!! Although we only had a short time together, we made some awesome memories!
