A note from Dr. Goodloe:
Dear Rocky Run Families,
I hope that you have been enjoying the summer and some time for rest, relaxation and fun. The RRMS staff is busy planning for the opening of the 19-20 school year, just a little over a month from now. We have been hiring new staff, preparing our new classrooms for student and staff return, and navigating the renovation. Please visit the RRMS website frequently for updates and news.
Congratulations and Farewell:
We are excited to congratulate RRMS Assistant Principal Peter Kownacki who has been named as the new Principal of South County Middle School effective July 22, 2019. We are grateful for Peter's leadership at Rocky Run and know he will make a tremendous, positive impact at his new school.
I welcome your feedback, questions and suggestions. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time. I hope to see you at Rocky Run very soon.
Sincerely,
Amy T. Goodloe, Ed.D

7th Grade Student Orientation (Students Only)
August 23, 8-11 AM
Students will be able to take a school bus from their local elementary school to Rocky Run for the orientation. The bus schedules will be shared in early August. Once students get to Rocky Run, they will follow their schedules, meet teachers and have an opportunity to practice opening their lockers. Because there is no Shifting Gears this summer due to renovation, our orientation will address many questions and concerns 7th graders have as they start middle school.
Back-to-School Night (Parents Only)
September 5 for 7th Grade, 6-8:30 PM
September 11 for 8th Grade, 6-8:30 PM
Back-to-School Night provides parents an opportunity to meet teachers, learn about instructional programs, and visit classrooms. BTSN is not an appropriate time to discuss an individual student’s progress because time is very limited in each class period.
