 Westlawn had a GREAT summer with our Young Scholars. They explored the Chesapeake Bay, practiced debating skills, engage in engineering tasks, and created original theatrical plays.
Big Reveal!
Hello Westlawn Families! We have been busy at Westlawn this summer with summer programs. We had over 400 students throughout the summer in Young Scholars, Bridge to Kindergarten and Extended School Year.
Katherine Bryant, first grade teacher, was selected by Lakeshore as the June grand prize winner in the Schoolgirl Style™ Make Over My Classroom Contest. As the Grand Prize Winner, Ms. Bryant will receive a classroom decor makeover personally styled by Schoolgirl Style founder Melanie Ralbusky!
The prize package, valued at $5,000, includes unique and fashionable decor from the latest Schoolgirl Style™ collections, select teaching supplies and furniture pieces, decorative accents and a newly painted classroom interior. Ms. Bryant submitted an essay that described why she needed a decor makeover and how she creates an inspiring learning environment for her students. Ms. Bryant’s room design will certainly be an inspiration to our teachers.

Backpack Give Away
Westlawn Cafeteria

Thanks to the generous support of business partner, INNOVATION Health and faith-based partner, Skyline Vineyard Church, Westlawn will sponsor its 2nd Annual Backpack Giveaway. The backpacks will be given out while supplies last.
When you come, we'll also ask you to update family emergency care cards with current contact information, address, phone number and email. This will allow us to better communicate with you before school starts.
