Summer Assignments
All summer jump-start and enrichment assignments have been posted on the South Lakes website. Please be sure to pay attention to which of your students’ classes have summer assignments. South Lakes’ Main Office has copies of several of the summer reading books, for students who would like to borrow them. Laptop Distribution
South Lakes is now a one-to-one school! Laptop pick up dates are August 7 - August 16th in the Lecture Hall. For your convenience, we are offering morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend hours.
Students are strongly encouraged to bring their school ID cards to expedite the process. Incoming freshmen and students who do not have their student ID’s will still be able to pick up their laptops.

Algebra Refresher Camp
The Algebra Refresher camp is an exciting program tailored specifically to the math class the student is taking in the fall. Students taking Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 eligible for this program. Algebra Refresher Camp will be held August 5th – 8th from 9:30 – 11:30 AM.
The fee is $15 and financial scholarships are available. Registration forms are due July 25th and can be picked up at the South Lakes Main Office (open M-F from 8:30 AM – 1 PM).

Seahawk 101
Welcome new Freshman Seahawks! Get ready for high school by registering for Seahawk 101 – meet other new Seahawks, learn your way around the building, and access two days of insider information. *This program is separate from Freshman Orientation*
Seahawk 101 sessions will be held on the following days:
Tuesday, July 23rd – Wednesday, July 24th – 9 AM – 12 Noon
Monday, July 29th – Tuesday, July 30th – 9 AM – 12 Noon

Food Pantry and Seahawk Outfitters
The Food Pantry is open for students and families over the summer. Summer hours are Thursdays from 2:30 – 5:30 PM in Room 372 with the usual pantry items as well as fresh produce from the Herndon Farmers Market.
If you would like to donate to the food pantry, you may drop off your donation to the South Lakes Main Office (open Monday – Friday from 8:30 AM – 1 PM).
Seahawk Outfitters is also open on Thursdays from 2:30 – 4:40.
Senior Pictures
Seniors who have not yet taken your senior portraits – come have your picture taken August 5th – 8th in the JROTC Room (Room 149).
