Annnnnd...That’s a wrap!
This is always a bittersweet time of year. We are happy to have completed another successful year, but we also know that the end of the school year comes with some goodbyes. To all those who are moving on to other schools and adventures next year, we wish you the best of luck. It has been a pleasure getting to know your children and family.
Many thanks to all of the parents who helped to make yesterday's 6th Grade Promotion Ceremony and Celebration a special experience for our Ravens. It was a day that our rising middle school students will remember for years to come!
Thank you to all of the Ravensworth parents and guardians for sharing your children with us this year. We hope you have a safe and relaxing summer. Don’t forget to read, read, read!

Quick Typing Club Survey From PTA
PTA would like to start a new after school program/club in the fall for keyboarding. The program is intended to instill 4th-6th graders with typing skills needed as they head into secondary school. The club will meet afterschool on a weekly basis with club dues.

Looking Ahead to Next Year's Open House and Back to School Presentations
Next year, Ravensworth ES is going to try something new! Our staff has gathered data from many of our surrounding schools who have already had great success with combining Open House and Back to School Night into one event. For the opening of the 2019-2020 school year, Ravensworth ES is going to hold a combined Open House and Back to School Event as well. Preliminary dates and times are as follows:
Date of Event: Thursday, August 22, 2019
12:00 pm - 12:30 pm: Open House
12:30 pm - 1:10 pm: Back to School Presentation Session 1
1:15 pm - 1:45 pm: Back to School Presentation Session 2
We recognize that this date is the same date as Lake Braddock's Bruin Blast, and have been working closely with LB to overlap as little as possible. More information will be coming out in the fall about the combined Open House and Back to School Presentations...stay tuned!
