Staff Changes
Although it isn’t easy, we have to say good-bye to several staff members who will be leaving Cub Run at the end of this school year. Tracey Badger, PAC IA resigned to spend more time with family and travel with her husband, Visala Mudunru, PAC IA is resigning to spend more time with her children, Sally Myers, 2nd grade IA, will be an IA in Loudoun County Public Schools, Melissa Lottchea, Special Education IA will be a Kindergarten IA at Deer Park ES, Christine Garant, 3rd grade teacher, will be the new Math Resource Teacher at Waples Mill ES, Josh Killian, 5th grade teacher, will pursue other options in education, and Dave Winfree, part-time PE, will be full-time at another FCPS school. We thank them all for their dedication to the students and our community and wish them well in their future endeavors.
Progress Reports
All Progress Reports will be sent home on Thursday, June 13, 2019. If your child will not be in school that day, you can pick up their Progress Report over the summer or send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to school and we will mail it to you. Students who are absent from school during award ceremonies should plan to come by school over the summer to pick up their certificates/awards, art work, etc.
Important Update to the Tdap Immunization Requirement (All Levels)
Effective July 1, 2019, the Tdap booster will no longer be required for students entering sixth grade. Instead, the Tdap booster will be required for students entering seventh grade. Fairfax County Public Schools tracks compliance with this state requirement and 7th grade students who do not meet the requirement before August 26, 2019, will not be able to start school.

Medications Stored in School Health Room
All medication stored in the school health room must be picked up by a parent or guardian no later than June 13, 2019 by 12:25 PM. School Health Aides will send letters to parents and guardians with instructions for end-of-year medication pickup. Any medications which are not picked up on the last day of school must be discarded using proper disposal guidelines.

School Food Accounts
Please remember to add money to your child’s school nutrition account. All accounts must be brought current before the end of the school year in June.
Lost and Found:
Our lost and found area is overflowing!! If your student has lost something, please stop by and see if it has made it into our lost and found. Items remaining will be donated at the end of the school year.
