June Newsletter from Principal Tam

Dear Westbriar Families,

Thank you for another wonderful school year!  This is a gentle reminder that our last day of school for students is this Thursday, June 13th at 1:05pm.  Be sure to note that Thursday is also a 3 hour early dismissal day.

Each year, I share staffing updates regarding staff members who will not be returning to Westbriar for the upcoming school year.  One of the reasons I share this with you is so you and your child can wish these staff members well and thank them for their service to our school and community.

Library News: We hope that everyone will participate in our “Where in the World is Westbriar” summer reading program. Postcards and directions were sent home in Wednesday folders. Send Mrs. Fuselier the postcard (or as many postcards as you would like) this summer. Be sure to include your name, where in the world you are and what you are reading. We are looking forward to seeing all the amazing places our students visit and what they are reading as they travel the globe.

As an added challenge, read a book with facts about or that takes place on all seven continents and you could win a prize! Books lists are due by September 6th.  Contact Mrs. Fuselier at kmfuselier@fcps.edu with any questions.

Any missing library books found over the summer can be dropped off to the main office.

Mark your calendars! The 2019-2020 Book Fair will be held November 11 – 15th.
