We are so grateful to all of the support that our parents and PTA has shown our school throughout the year! We definitely cannot do what we do without your support. You may have noticed that work on our modular is progressing nicely. Crews have installed a new roof. On Monday, June 17th, they will begin to work on connecting the modular to the water mane. There will be restrooms in the main hallway of the modular and sinks in each classroom!

Field Day is tomorrow, Wednesday, June 5th. Ms. Mulcahy & Ms. Nolan are super excited for the BIG day! Here are a few reminders:

Please be sure your child is dressed appropriate for warm weather and activity. Sneakers, socks and loose-fitting clothes are necessary for SAFE participation.
NO cleats, flip-flops, slides, sandals or crocs. There will be water stations so students may want to bring a change of clothes for afterwards.
Students will need to take precautions for both insects and SUN. Hats, visors and water bottles are strongly recommended.
The lunch schedule will change for 2nd & 3rd graders. 3rd grade will begin lunch at 12:05 & 2nd grade will begin lunch at 12:35.

The Yearbooks are coming and will be distributed on Monday, June 10th. There is still time to pre-order a yearbook. Yearbook sales will begin tomorrow, in the lobby, before and after school (8:50-9:10 AM & 3:50-4:10 PM). Yearbooks are $15 (exact change requested) and checks may be made payable to Bush Hill Elementary. There are a limited number of yearbooks left, so get yours today!

Our final PTA meeting of the school year is Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 6:30pm. Child care will be available with RSVP to: amysarmadillos@gmail.com. We’ll recap an amazing school year and turn our attention toward next school year.

Calling all plant lovers, would be gardeners
and those who enjoy digging in the dirt!
Help is wanted on Saturday, June 8th at 8 AM. Bring your gardening gloves, shovels, trowels, etc. and help us beautify our grounds. Plants will be provided (Thank You BHES PTA). We hope you can come and be part of the Bush Hill Botanical Bunch.

The last day of school is Thursday, June 13th. Bush Hill Elementary will dismiss promptly at 12:55 PM. Report cards are sent home.

2019-20 School Year to Start on August 26
With the school year winding down and many families making plans for summer camps, vacations, and other activities, be sure to note that the first day of school for the 2019-20 school year will be Monday, August 26. Other notable dates include Thanksgiving break, November 27-29; Winter break, December 23, 2019-January 3, 2020; Spring Break, April 6-10, 2020; and the last day of school, June 12, 2020.
