Please read all the way through this newsletter as it contains important information for the end of the school year. Thank you.
Greetings Virginia Run Families!
Whew! The year has flown by…where did the time go? I can’t believe the close of the 2018-2019 school year is right around the corner!
I just want to say thank you to the parents, community, and our PTA for an incredible Teacher Appreciation Week last month. I can’t think of a better way to wrap up the school year. Our teachers appreciate the yummy treats, beautiful cards, and thoughtful gifts. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for making our teachers feel so special. They deserve it!
On another note, I want to give you some important dates for your fall calendar. Our Welcome Walk is tentatively scheduled for August 22, the first day of school is scheduled for August 26, and our Back to School Night will be held on September 4, 2019. Please mark the dates on your calendar and plan on joining us then!
In addition, thank you for your support and well wishes during my transition. I am honored to be the principal of this amazing school. It has been a wonderful school year and I look forward to many years to come with our Virginia Run ES school community.
I wish you and yours a safe and fun summer. I look forward to seeing our Virginia Run Vikings return in the fall.
Happy Summer!
Ms. Bumbrey
