The final few character trait lessons were completed this month. Classes spent ten minutes a day defining, describing and engaging in activities that promote the character strengths Leadership and the OPM2 to reinforce the spirit of the Positivity Project that “Other People Matter.”
STAFF
The Positivity Project is embraced by not only our students but our staff and community as well! Below is a picture of the Staff Shout Out board where staff can write notes of appreciation to show #OtherPeopleMatter.
Draw a large circle on a piece of paper. Write down the different communities your family is involved in (i.e., school, church, neighborhood, home) and discuss what makes you feel connected to and how you can be a leader within those communities.
We have completed the lessons of the Positivity Project for the 2018-2019 school year. While the official instruction is over for the school year, these character strengths will show themselves throughout our students’ entire lives. We encourage you to continue to talk about these character strengths, how they appear in others, how they appear in ourselves and how we can continue to use them to build positive relationships. Thank you for your support during this first year of the Positivity Project. We look forward to implementing the Positivity Project again next year!
Keep the Positivity Project going through the summer break. Take some time this summer to go over these character strengths with your child(ren):
