Rising 9th Grade Parents - Call For 2019-20 Woodson Career Center Volunteers – Many or our W.T. Woodson Career Center (CC) Parent Volunteers are graduating this year.  CC volunteers have a unique opportunity to learn about the post-secondary research and application process during their volunteer shifts.  Parents of rising 9th and 10th grade students especially benefit because they will feel more comfortable when it is time for their students to embark on post-secondary research.  To provide consistency, volunteers are asked to commit to a shift for an entire academic year.  Interested parents can sign up at https://tinyurl.com/Vol4WTW.  Register by or before Thursday, 6 June for best consideration.

#ONE Frost in Action

This segment is aimed at recognizing students for demonstrating recent improvement or achievement in academics, behavior or citizenship. I want to showcase what ONE Frost means to us!  At the end of each recognition, you will see the name of the nominating teacher or staff member. On a monthly basis, departments and/or faculty members will nominate students. I will meet with all of the students who are recognized to congratulate them on their kindness, hard work, and willingness to accept others into their circle.

Rashmi Thirumlai - I have nominated Rashmi Thirumlai as my math student who exemplifies the Other People Matter mindset.  Rashmi is very helpful to her fellow geometry students, always quick to help others understand or find an easier way to explain a concept to them.  She is always cheerful and upbeat and always looks on the positive side of things! - Ms. Beach

Zara Kepler - Zara consistently comes to class with a positive attitude towards her classmates, and she is always ready to help others. Whether it is helping to explain a math concept or simply lending a pencil, Zara shows that she truly cares about those around her. – Ms. Stratton

Oscar Persky - Oscar often uses his words to encourage and support others in our class. Even when someone seems discouraged and frustrated, Oscar tries to help that student see the brighter side and engage more positively in the lesson. – Ms. Hanson

Paige Mellick - Paige always is willing to help other students in class and supports other students by modeling exceptional behavior. Paige goes above and beyond to say hello to other students and helps people feel recognized/honored. – Mr. Lantis

Emelia Crump - Emmie is a model student and always has a big smile and a great attitude. She is always willing to help her teachers and other students. For example, during Falcon Focus, she often times helps other students with their math. – Mr. Budreau

Sara Majdalawieh - Sara has been a friend to her classmates the entire year. She helps explain concepts to the students sitting around her, is kind and welcoming to new students and has been a positive and friendly person in general. She is always one of the first to volunteer to help - be it a small thing like passing out papers or something bigger. She exemplifies the "other people matter" mindset. – Ms. Brown
