Testing Dates, Spring 2019 -
3rd Grade

The Standards of Learning (SOL) testing schedule has been set for Fort Belvoir Primary. All SOL tests will be given in the morning. Please try to avoid scheduling appointments on the days your child is scheduled to take an SOL test. The SOL testing dates are listed below.
3rd Grade Math SOL
May 20th and 21st: Cody, Huntley, Mamo/Johnson, Markov, Seger
May 22nd and 23rd: Belardi, Horan, Jackson, Wakeley/Davis
June 3rd – 6th: SOL Expedited Retakes for select, qualifying students
Field day for Fort Belvoir Primary School is scheduled for Thursday, May 30th (makeup date is May 31st). To ensure we have a successful and fun field day we need parent volunteers. Please fill out our survey if you can come help!

On Field Day, please make sure your child is prepared to stay outside for an extended period of time. Have them wear sun screen, a hat, bug repellent, cool clothing, athletic shoes, and bring a water bottle.
All volunteers please arrive 30 minutes prior to the scheduled session times.

MEDICATION PICK UP
End of Year Health Room Reminder
|
All medications that are in the Health Room need to be picked up by 1:55 pm on June 13, 2019. Medications can also be picked up prior to June 13th, anytime between 9:15 am and 3:30 pm.
Only Parents may pick up medications. Medications cannot be released to students
Medications not picked up by the designated time, will be discarded according to FCPS and FCHD Policy.
Your cooperation will ensure that we can safely give your student his or her medication. If you have any questions, please contact our Primary building school health aide, Lori Rossett at 703-781-2710.
Kindergarten:
- Sing different songs and read stories about spring.
- They will learn about Tubby the Tuba and instrument families.
- Play hand percussion, hand bells, and orff instruments.
1st Grade:
- Students will be learning about Carnival of the Animals.
- Play instruments and read stories about different animals.
2nd Grade:
- They will be learning about Peter and the Wolf.
- Identify music associated with the different characters in Peter and the Wolf and learn about the instrument families.
3rd Grade:
- They will finish getting their belts for third grade Recorder Karate (white, yellow and orange).
- Students will also be learning about musicals.
