Robotics Awards

Many congratulations to the amazing Hayfield Robotics Team!!

This year, the team earned the Industrial Design Award and a Finalist Award at their competition in Haymarket, VA.

They continued on to earn First Place at their district competition in Owings Mill, MD plus a Finalist Award at Districts at George Mason University.

Finally they were honored as a Subdivision Finalists at the Robotics Worlds Competition hosted in Detroit, Michigan!!

MathWorks Modeling Challenge

David Toomer, Aditi Gupta, Divya Kranthi, Alisha Agrawal, Jennifer Sheng competed in the Math Works Modeling Challenge.

They received honorable mention recognition which comes with a $1000 scholarship.

This means they were approximately among the top 30 teams for a contest which usually has over 1500 teams compete!!!

Congratulations to them!

Visitors from Japan

On March 8th, we had a visit from 11 students from Okazaki High School, Japan. They were each paired with a Hayfield student whom they shadowed to experience a typical day at Hayfield.

There happened to have been a Pep Rally that day, which made the experience extra fun and unique. They very much enjoyed living a day in the life as an American student.
