Simply the Best
Oak View extends our sincerest thanks and appreciation to simply the best school community ever! Our generous parent community donated more than 120 gift cards to honor our teachers and staff during this past appreciation week. This number of donations enabled every single staff member to choose a raffle ticket and pick a mystery envelope. We would like to thank our PTA for coordinating volunteers, treats, lunch and the FANTASTIC raffle to honor all those who support our students. We loved reading the emails and sharing the love and appreciation for our Oak View staff all week long!
Food Allergy Awareness Week
Oak View is shining a light on Food Allergies during Food Allergy Awareness Week, beginning tomorrow. We will share facts about food allergies on the daily news show. Did you know that 1 in 13 U.S. children has a food allergy? In addition to the facts, we invite all students and staff to wear TEAL on Friday! We thank our parents and PTA for providing a banner that will hang in the front lobby throughout the month. This is yet another way we show that Other People Matter at Oak View.

Class Placement Information
As we begin considering class placements for the 2019-2020 school year, we want to offer you the opportunity to share your valuable input regarding the best placement for your child. If interested, please complete a separate form for each child. Forms will be available through Friday, May 24 in order to consider in upcoming placement meetings.

SOL Schedule Posted
Oak View reminds families that SOL tests continue this week. We ask families to help encourage students by reassuring them they are ready and to take their time and try their best. Our students have worked hard all year and this is another opportunity they have to show off their skills. Thank you for helping them study and feel ready!
