Students Celebrating Ramadan: May 5 thru June 4 - Ramadan is May 5 - June 4 and we want to ensure that your student is supported during this time. With that in mind, if you would like your child to receive specific accommodations, such as an alternative location during lunch/prayer, please provide the school with a note to express your child’s needs.
Additionally, if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your student’s administrator. In addition, the following Glasgow staff members are available to answer any questions: Samira Laarche, Aymin ElTahir, and Nafisa Mohamed. Ramadan Kareem!
PTA Meeting: May 14 - Join us for a very important PTA meeting on May 14 from 7-8 p.m. The Fairfax County Youth Survey has consistently shown that when youth have more protective factors in their lives, they are less likely to engage in risk taking behaviors or experience negative mental health outcomes, including suicide. Learn from the FCPS Office of Intervention and Prevention Services about the resources in FCPS regarding mental wellness and suicide prevention and how every adult can foster protective factors and resilience in youth at home, school, and in the community. All are welcome. PTA membership not required for attendance. Spanish and Arabic interpreters will be present.
Sports Physicals at Justice High School: May 16 - The Justice High School Athletic Training Department will be offering sports physicals on Thursday, May 16, 2019. This successfully completed physical will be good for all sports and out of season practices (green days, yellow days, weight-room workouts) for the 2019-2020 school year. Sports physicals are required for all students who intend to participate in high school sports.
This event is a fundraiser for the Justice High School Athletic Training Department and goes to support the athletes at Justice High School. The cost of the physicals is $50 when you register online. You can register by clicking the following link: Register for sports physicals at Justice High School
