Glasgow Community:

Special thanks to everyone who went above and beyond this past week to help celebrate our Glasgow teachers and staff! We very much appreciated the food, prizes, notes and celebrations you all provided over the course of the week.

We had a strong start to our SOL testing season with our Reading tests this past week. Students who qualify for a retake will receive a letter from their teacher to bring home to you with more information. The retake test date will be included in the letter and teachers will be working with students to prepare in the coming weeks.

We continue SOL testing this week with Algebra/Geometry on Monday, Math 8 on Tuesday, Math 6 on Wednesday and Math 7 on Thursday. Please encourage your students to get a good night’s rest and eat a healthy breakfast on the day of their test!

Finally, we recently sent a letter home to all rising 6th and 7th grade families with information about your student’s attendance so far this year and the start date for the upcoming school you. We miss your student when they are gone and we value their contributions to our school! Please talk to your student about the importance of attending school regularly and make plans for them to begin on Monday, August 26, 2019. It will be here before we know it!

As always, please let me know if you have any questions.
