Willow Springs Celebrates Teacher Appreciation Week (May 6 - 10)
 Help us celebrate our teachers on Tuesday and Thursday with a card or flowers!
The PTA and Administration have some fantastic activities planned for Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but we are asking our families to do something special on Tuesday and Thursday. Any token of your appreciation (a handmade card, a small gift, flowers) would be extremely appreciated by our amazing educators at Willow Springs.
Also, please note, in addition to your homeroom teacher, each class has been assigned 1-2 additional faculty members to honor. We understand that the additional faculty members may not be individuals that your student is familiar with. We ask that you try to honor the spirit of the week and do something special for them as well.
I will use our homeroom as an example:
My daughter is in Ms. Hitchcock’s class. Our two additional faculty members are Ms. Amy Hurley and Ms. Joanne Kim. Everyone goes to the library, so everyone in our class is familiar with Ms. Hurley. Ms. Kim, on the other hand, works in the cafeteria. We pack a lunch every day, so we don’t exactly know who Ms. Kim is. However, we understand that many of our students take advantage of the fabulous meals that our cafeteria staff creates every day. We want Ms. Kim to know that we appreciate the role she plays in making our school a place where our students enjoy learning, so we will do something special for Ms. Kim on Tuesday and Thursday.
We know it is challenging to show appreciation for faculty members that your student may not have met, but as you know, our school is the excellent school that it is because of the teachers, administrators, and faculty that work behind the scenes. Please help us by letting them know that you value what they do, day in and day out for our students!
