Rocket Day #4

Supporting your Student on Test Day

  • Show interest without dwelling on the test.
  • Give room for your child to share his/her feelings.
  • Remind your child to listen and to read all directions carefully.
  • Acknowledge not knowing all the answers is possible and alright. Encourage your student to answer each question after giving his/her best attempt, then move on.
  • Get a good night's sleep.
  • Eat a nutritious breakfast.

SOL Season - Personal Electronic Devices are Prohibited

Please remember:

  • Electronic personal devices of any kind (phones, Kindles, smart-watches, fitness trackers with messaging, tablets, etc.) are not allowed in the SOL testing environment.
  • Personal electronic devices found in the testing environment may be confiscated and searched as a testing security concern.

Please speak with your child about storing her/his device(s) safely in the classroom or leaving them at home on their testing days.
