 Congratulations to the newly selected Electrical Construction student leadership for SY 2019-20. The selected students earned their hard hats through demonstrating exceptional work throughout this school year. Kudos to Mr. Wolfe and the Edison HS Academy staff for hosting an outstanding evening ceremony followed by a networking event with employers ready to offer employment to graduates from the Electrical Construction program.
Recently, across FCPS, employees were nominated for employee awards. We had three winners:
Outstanding Teacher – Heather Brueggen
Outstanding New Teacher – Levi Barber
Outstanding Leader – Mark Nocera
Ms. Brueggen was not only our outstanding teacher, but both the Edison Pyramid and Region 3 Outstanding Teacher. She is now in the running to become the FCPS 2019 Outstanding Teacher of the year. All three of our nominated winners will be all honored at the annual FCPS Awards Gala next month.

We are in great need of volunteer M.D.s, D.O.s, PAs and NPs to provide the final examination at the last station.
The exam sessions begin at 5:30pm with the last session starting at 7:30pm. Dinner will be provided for volunteers beginning at 4:30pm with refreshments available throughout the evening. Please consider volunteering for this event, even if you can only come for a short time and please share this information with any of your friends, family or colleagues who may be willing to help.
This event is a fundraiser for the Edison High School Athletic Training Program. We receive NO FUNDING from the county or from game ticket sales and this event is how we raise money to purchase medical supplies (bandages, gauze, tape, crutches, splints, etc.) that we use for all the sports teams for the whole school year. We provide a comprehensive physical evaluation with several stations including height, weight, blood pressure, vision screening, and orthopedic and postural evaluations performed by Athletic Trainers, Nurses, EMTs and Physical Therapists.
