See how Lemon Road promotes the attributes of FCPS Portrait of a Graduate https://www.fcps.edu/about-fcps/portrait-graduate by participating in a variety of activities highlighting the life-long skills of communicating, collaborating, serving as an ethical and global citizen, thinking creatively and critically, and being goal-directed. Students and parents will:
- Interact with the Positivity Project (P2)! Play a fun “Guess the P2 Trait” game! Take a photo in the Positivity Project “photo booth!”
- Participate in team-building challenges requiring the P2 character traits of teamwork, open-mindedness, and perseverance.
- Wrestle with math challenges and games…think critically, strategize, and persevere.
- Participate in Hour of Code activities!
- Investigate different bird calls and put yourself in the shoes of a mother bat who has to find her lost baby through a sense of smell. See the importance of being good stewards of the environment.
- Walk through the Hall of Nations and learn about the rich cultures of Lemon Road. Watch the Parade of Nations! The Parade of Nations tour begins promptly at 7:45 PM!
The doors open at 6:30 PM. All activities will conclude at 7:45 as we gather in the halls to watch the Parade of Nations, and the event concludes by 8 PM. The night is an “open house” format meaning you do not have to be there right as the doors open, but rather in the window between 6:30 and 7:30 to provide you time to participate in the wealth of activities.
