Strings Students Participate in Solo Spotlight
Congratulations to the 27 Canterbury Woods Strings students who went to Solo Spotlight on Friday, April 26th at Frost Middle School. Students performed a variety of solos, duets and trios to receive feedback from a judge. Extra courage, dedication and practice outside of orchestra class was required. Students committed to practice enough to continue mastering their school music in addition to the Solo Spotlight music. These students did a wonderful job of representing Canterbury Woods in this Woodson pyramid event.
Canterbury Woods orchestra students continue to prepare for our spring concert. Music such as Rhythm N’ Blues, March of the Metro Gnome, We Will Rock you and Mystic Caravan will be performed on Wednesday, June 5th in the gym.
Have you returned your Parent Input Form for the 2019-2020 school year?

Hi my name is Dani and I’m a 5th grade student and I’m helping Vindicated Pit Bull Rescue save lives of “bully” dogs that would not survive life as a shelter dog by helping get them ready and finding a new home.
The dogs have nothing soft or comfortable to sleep on, don’t have toys, and don’t have supplies to get the dogs ready to find fur-ever homes. Can you help me to help them? They need …
Gently used

Other Stuff
Blankets
Chews
Towels
Cleaning supplies
Toys
Shampoo
Beds
Training treats
The reason we need this is, imagine if you get lost from your home and are stuck lying on a hard rock surface to try to sleep and have nothing to play with or chew on and smell. You would not like that right? Well that is what these dogs have to deal with.
So, what do you say will you help?
We will have a collection bin in the lobby during school hours:
Tuesday April 23 – Friday May 3
Thank you so much for your help!
